Volunteer opportunities

Volunteer with SoberHub

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building free recovery tools for everyone. Below are open roles where detail and creativity directly help people find hope — email us to get started.

Open roles

Multilingual Content & Layout Specialist

Ensure our recovery resources reach those who need them most by perfecting our international literature.

We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help audit and refine our multilingual library. This role is critical in ensuring that our Spanish- and French-speaking users receive the same high-quality experience as our English users.

  • Verify translations: Audit Spanish and French translations for accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance.
  • Quality control: Compare digital book layouts against original sources so formatting and pagination match.
  • Audit content: Identify and document mismatches, typos, or layout breaks within the app reader.

Impact

You directly improve access to recovery tools for non-English-speaking communities.

Digital Media & Video Producer

Help us grow the SoberHub community by creating high-impact visual stories for social media.

We need a creative storyteller to produce engaging video content that highlights the tools and resources SoberHub offers. Your work will be the face of our organization on major social platforms.

Our social channels

  • Content creation: Produce short-form promotional videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Feature spotlights: Create how-to clips and promotional teasers for new app features.
  • Engagement: Edit with captions, music, and hooks designed to resonate with the recovery community.
  • Asset management: Deliver high-quality video files ready for immediate social distribution.
Court-ordered community service

Important: Court-ordered community service

SoberHub is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We offer skill-based, remote community service opportunities for court-referred individuals in Southern California. We provide formal verification and completion letters for all approved volunteer hours.

Why choose skill-based service?

Instead of traditional manual labor, you can use your professional skills to help a growing nonprofit in the recovery space. We provide a formal completion letter on official letterhead once your tasks and hours are verified.

Requirements for service hours

  • Location

Due to potential court verification requirements, these volunteer positions are currently open only to residents of Southern California (Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Inland Empire).

  • Verification

Volunteers must be able to document their progress through our project management system.

  • Integrity

We provide same-day sign-off upon successful completion of your assigned project milestones.
